Job Summary Avis Budget Group, a global leader in the travel services industry is searching for a Human Resources Intern to join our field HR team based in Orlando, FL. This exciting internship contributes to the company's success by working in various HR functions and assisting with recruiting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The essential duties and responsibilities as well as knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to the following: Field Staffing & Local College Recruitment Program Review applications and conduct pre-screen to determine candidates eligibility for an interview. Coordinate and prepare promotional recruitment items, college media kits and other recruiting collateral. Assist with creating and implementing recruitment action plan with targeted colleges and universities. Participate in recruiting events such as job fairs and open houses Research additional marketing and promotional venues such as social networking sites, blogs, and other potential recruitment areas. Assist with new hire orientation Assist with special projects as requested
Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program that emphasizes in Human Resources or Business Management Current cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week during school semesters
The successful candidate must possess and/or be willing to do the following: Previous internship or work experience in HR a plus Strong computer skills; proficient in Excel and Word Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative on projects Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professional demeanor a must Bi-lingual preferred
