Job Title: Incentives Manager – Orlando Office
BASIC PURPOSE: This position is responsible for managing tax, infrastructure and cash grant incentive programs and processing incentive applications.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES or TASKS:
Review, evaluate, investigate, and make recommendations on incentive applications for state incentive programs to support Enterprise Florida’s job creation and retention goals. Effectively communicate, address questions and resolve issues regarding incentives procedures, policies, and decisions to businesses, partners, and consultants. Actively participate as incentive manager on larger project teams including company representatives, EFI project manager, consultants, attorneys, local economic development partners, local government, Governor’s Office staff, and others. Prepare recommendations regarding approval and level of incentive awards consistent with statutory and policy requirements. Create, update and maintain incentive marketing materials, including partner information sheets, incentive applications, and annual incentives report. Prepare and deliver presentations and conduct workshops to educate economic development stakeholders about state incentives. Develop and maintain relationships with economic development partners and site selection consultants. Conduct research on various business costs, regulatory requirements and incentives-related issues. Maintain high levels of organization in order to process and follow-up on high volumes of incentive applications in a timely manner. Craft responses to incentives questions in major RFPs and work with the project team to ensure all issues are addressed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in business, economics or related course of study Three years of economic development, contract management or related experience Intermediate level competence with Microsoft Office applications Internet business research capabilities Analytical skills Knowledge of financing concepts and business tax issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree Experience in economic and fiscal impact analysis Knowledge of government and / or not-for-profit agency operations and processes
