NATURE OF WORK:
Responsible for ensuring quality compliance with all aspects of the EMS response for the Orlando Fire Department. Reviews all Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMS calls. Reviews a majority of Basic Life Support (BLS) EMS calls. Documents all quality assurance sessions. Monitors patterns in patient care. Coordinates OFD EMS Quality Assurance with the Medical Director's office with all reports and quality assurance. Ensures corrections of all OFD EMS reports as needed. Assists with annual EMS training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree in nursing, fire science, or EMS and five years related experience. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Paramedic license or higher, American Heart Association ACLS certification, and American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications desired. Experience performing quality assurance for an EMS service (fire/rescue department, emergency room, hospital critical care unit, or ambulance company) strongly preferred.
