Westin Imagine Job Description: Security Officer
Rising above the Orlando Orange County Convention Center, The Westin Imagine Orlando is the area’s newest Florida art-deco style hotel. Summary
Coordinate security services and support for The Westin Imagine Hotel, our guests, and associates.
Responsibilities
• As a Security Officer associate for The Westin Imagine, you will support the operation of The Westin Imagine by maintaining building security and property safety. • Modeling and upholding The Westin Brand standards and philosophy. • Using good judgment in your decisions and actions, and identifying and applying various security techniques to provide a safe environment for our guests and associates. • Performs routine inspections of all common area while working to report any items which may become safety issues. Report these issues to the proper management authority. • Performs all job duties with a “safety first” attitude and focus. • Work independently, solve problems, and resolve conflicts in pressure situations. • Must be proactive in solving issues and addressing concerns.

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalency. • One to two years security or loss prevention experience or equivalent.
Certificates, License, Registrations
• Valid Drivers License that has been in effect for at least three years, with no more than two minor violations and no major violations within the past three years. • Class “D” security license (preferred but not required)
Other Skills and Abilities
• Must be able to use two way radios. • Strong computer skills. • Perform light maintenance duties, such as changing light bulbs.
Other Desirable Qualifications
• Must be Energetic, strong team player, willing to work closely with others. • Must have above average people skills. • Must be able to handle stressful situations in a positive way. Must be detail oriented and very organized. • Candidate must maintain good relations with guests and associates.
