Description

The Revenue Management Services (RMS) department is responsible for forecasting, accounting and reporting on net revenues, governmental reimbursement functions as well as development of all items the hospitals charge for via the charge master. The goal of the RMS is compliance with all applicable guidelines that govern these areas.

We are currently seeking individuals who are analytical, curious and eager to learn. The RMS Internship will work with the Chargemaster Team on ad hoc reporting, data analysis and report writing. Highly desired skills include data analytics, data report writing, ability to draw conclusions from data and take action.

• Analyzes large data sets to make connections

• Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts, including accounts payable and miscellaneous receivables

• Analyzes assigned general ledger accounts monthly and prepares related schedules and/or monthly journal entries

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent and 5 years of related experience required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Healthcare Management preferred.

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Related field in lieu of experience

• Intermediate Excel user (formulas, pivot tables, subtotal, V-lookups, etc)

The Finance Technician III maintains control of assigned general ledger accounts and hospital statistics. Prepares statistical reports and analyzes general ledger activity, Reconciles the hospital's bank accounts, Prepares audit paperwork and schedules, Assists in preparing the annual operating budgets, Manages the hospital's petty cash account, Responsible for sales tax returns. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience includes 5 years in a related field or an Associate's Degree in lieu of experience.
