Pharmacist

Compass is currently searching for a Pharmacist to oversee all pharmacy operations and to ensure that all drugs are logged, tracked, and dispensed accurately and appropriately. They will also guarantee ongoing compliance with all FDA and DEA regulations in clinical research studies including study specifics, Sponsor requirements and company’s SOPS.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Reconstitute drugs and document accurately + appropriately
2. Maintain patient safety and the integrity of the pharmaceutical study data
3. Receive and log incoming shipments of study drugs
4. Count and stock drugs accurately and maintain drug accountability logs
5. Provide quantitative data via Interactive Voice Response System (IVRs)
6. Dispense study drugs to authorize personnel as required
7. Interact and discuss drug issues with Monitors
8. Maintain all pharmacy equipment, schedule equipment calibrations, and ensure all equipment stay within specified ranges for temperature and humidity
9. Ensure ongoing compliance with all FDA and DEA rules and regulations and study specifics sponsor requirements
10. Manage staff and interns in the Pharmacy department
11. Conducts performance evaluation of Pharmacy staff
12. Forecast yearly budget for Pharmacy department
13. Administer infusions and injections of study drug trials
14. Responsible for ensuring compliance for Pharmacy-related tasks per protocol

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Pharmacist License required; IV Therapy Certification preferred
2. Minimum 2 years’ pharmacy experience preferred but not required
