Responsibilities:

  • Submit co-op claiming documents monthly. This includes filling out submission forms, pulling tear sheets, invoices, pre-approvals, screenshots, click-thru reports.
  • Confirms monthly co-op billing to manufacturers is correct.  Oversees any billing and reimbursement issues regarding co-op submissions.
  • Contact manufacturers to obtain co-op accruals, confirm plan specifications and pull artwork.
  •  Submit pre-approvals with manufacturers and communicate status and explain changes to sales support and staff.
  • Assist sales staff with co-op marketing materials and help plan client calls to ensure maximum support and use of co-op programs.
  • Research co-op opportunities and promotions using Recas. 
  • Work with Co-op and Special Sections Coordinator to drive digital and non-traditional revenue co-op opportunities. (DMS, Mobile, Events and Vendor Tabs).
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key manufacturer and distributor sales personnel.
  • Update the Recas co-op database with new co-op plans so the database can continue to grow.
  • Participate in monthly Tribune-wide co-op conference calls.  Attend any sales meetings the Co-op and Special Sections Coordinator is unable to attend to keep co-op and special sections top of mind.
  • Attend ongoing sales trainings to stay current on advertising and marketing trends.
  • Work with the Adit team to ensure co-op and special section ads are tracked accurately.
  • Assist in the implementation of the co-op contest and developing new ideas/content for special sections.
  • Assist with monitoring of deadlines, layouts and copy of the special sections.
  • Search through newspaper, competitive publications/media and various advertisements to develop leads for Sales Reps and identify possible co-op opportunities.
  • Responsible for identifying, researching, capturing and cataloguing sales leads.
  • Take ownership of C-PAD from MSG. Run queries in C-PAD to identify leads targeting events and special sections to increase revenue associated with each initiative.

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in advertising or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be detail-oriented. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and operate efficiently under deadlines.
  • Able to comprehend digital advertising and tracking methods.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with co-op advertising process and understanding of how co-op dollars are obtained, used and claimed.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.   
  • Should possess knowledge of Orlando Sentinel’s multimedia advertising portfolio.
  • Possess interpersonal and professional skills in dealing with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
