Halifax Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Psychaitric Services Department.

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing, directing, planning and organizing a skilled nursing unit.  Financial management, quality of service, human resource management and a successful operational plan will be other areas of focus.  Previous Nursing leadership and management is a must.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred.
  2. Must possess a current Florida Nursing License.
  3. 1-3 years of Progressive leadership experience required.
  4. Experience with management of inpatient child & adult psychiatric units.
  5. Professionalism in interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel required.
  6. Professional development, accountability, organization and leadership in the performance of nursing management.
  7. Must be Customer-Service Oriented, in order to build positive working relationships with physicians and to assist in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families,
  8. Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and a continuous learner who is able to provide follow through on all assigned projects.
  9. Must possess the ability to support and educate staff memebers in their preferred learning style (audio, visual and kinesthetic).
  10. Must provide a positive example to all staff, as well as the ability to mentor staff memebers.
