Hospitality Ventures is a privately owned, fully-integrated hotel ownership and management organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was formed in 2001 and currently owns and/or operates 37 hotels located in 16 states. Eighteen hotels currently operate as Hilton or Marriott brands. The senior leadership team has experience owning and managing hotel portfolios, ranging in size up to 143 properties. We are currently seeking candidates for the Front Supervisor. Responsibilities for this Position
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist Front Office Manager to coordinate front office activities of the Resort and resolves problems arising from guests' complaints, reservation and room assignment, and unusual requests and inquiries by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate front desk associates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assigns duties and shifts to workers and observes performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
Confers and cooperates with other department heads to ensure coordination of activities.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
Makes and confirms reservations.
Advises guests of available activities at the Resort.
Patrols public rooms, investigates disturbances, and warns troublemakers.
May be required at any time to assume the job duties of the Front Desk Clerk or any other position which is directly supervised by this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises to 15 employees in the Front Office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
Technical Requirements: Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to converse in basic English.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Opera experience required.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.
Wage: Hourly based on experience.
Shift: Varies. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Hours: Full Time
