The senior leadership team has experience owning and managing hotel portfolios, ranging in size up to 143 properties. We are currently seeking candidates for the Night Auditor position (Part time). Responsibilities for this Position
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the auditing of all charges and postings, correcting work as required. The Night Auditor reconciles daily activity and closes all accounts in preparation for the new day. All information will be processed and formatted into daily reports and distributed as the Morning Reports. Night auditor must act as a front desk agent on the night shift, answering department telephone properly, registering guests, accepting payments, and providing information and assistance to guests and visitors. Have the ability to make sound decisions without supervision.
Accommodates guests of hotel/resort by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain complete knowledge of :
- a) all hotel features/services, hours of operation.
- b) all room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments and location.
- c) all room rates, special packages and promotions.
- d) daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
- e) room availability status for any given day.
- f) scheduled daily group activities
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Pick up, count and maintain bank. Secure bank at all times.
- Read the log book daily, and record all pertinent information in the log book.
- Process adjustments, rebates, paid outs and credits as required.
- Verifies and makes corrections to the Room Rate Report.
- Adjust outside Vendor activity.
- Reconcile telephone calls and miscellaneous accounts.
- Backup computer system files.
- Verifies that all checks are closed, and closes and logs any open check in the Resort Scheduling system.
- Audit F&B paperwork and correct discrepancies.
- Prints end of day reports.
- Audit F&B cashier’s work and correct discrepancies.
- Audit Rooms Cashier’s work and correct discrepancies.
- Audit all miscellaneous charges. (Banquets, Bars etc.)
- Verifies package postings on house accounts.
- Input all sales figures into the P.M.S. and balance all accounts (Property Management System).
- Run Room & Tax verifying that all room rates posted.
- Verify Cashier’s Report to drop log and paperwork.
- Record room statistics.
- Run end of day program and close day.
- Check that interfaces are up and running.
- Run morning reports and backup reports and distribute accordingly.
- Enter Daily information into M3
- Review Night Audit checklist and verify that all work has been completed.
- Restock all printers.
- Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming Supervisor.
- Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette
- Prepare paperwork for morning shift to begin.
- Review incoming arrivals and make appropriate changes and blocking.
- Wake Up Calls are entered into phone system and guests are called manually as well.
- Alert Controller or Account Manager of any major discrepancies in cash or account posting.
- Balance and transmit credit cards daily.
- Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Apply in person daily 9:AM-4:00PM at 6515 International Drive Lobby.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience:
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Basic understanding of accounting procedures
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to converse in basic English.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- M3 Knowledge a plus
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.

Hourly base on experience

11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
