Full Charge Bookkeeper

Long time Daytona Beach hospitality company is looking for an experienced full charge bookkeeper. The position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to management. This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Responsibilities

 

  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Monthly and quarterly report preparation
  • Calculation and payment of all taxes
  • All Accounts Payable activities, including payments and invoice verification
  • Manage cash flow needs
  • All Accounts Receivable activities, including preparing a/r statements, recording and collecting bad checks, and establishing new accounts
  • Banking, including preparing bank deposits, entering daily deposits reconciling bank accounts, producing cash handling discrepancy reports
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and record all payroll information
  • Produce 1099’s and 1096’s at year end
  • Prepare reports as requested by General Manager
  • General office duties, including answering phone calls and participating in meetings

Qualifications

 

 

  • Full-charge bookkeeping experience
  • General Finance experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing, email.
  • Communication skills -- good listener, clear directions.
  • Organized, meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Regular, predictable attendance.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
  • Strong Quickbook and MS Excel Skills, MS Access knowledge a plus
  • General knowledge of other MS Office programs
