Job Description
Essential Functions
- Understands the importance St. Cloud Regional Medical Center places on providing exemplary customer service and performs job functions in a manner that helps meet the department customer service goals.
- Demonstrates a positive and professional approach and communicates effectively with customers and employees at all times.
- Identifies customer service issues and resolves or initiates necessary follow-up.
- Implements service recovery efforts as appropriate.
- Meet and exceed all performance standards and essential functions of each Patient Business Financial Counselor position.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills.
- Provides management with information regarding daily operations of department.
- Monitors department productivity and quality assurance performance.
- Identifies department needs and responds appropriately.
- Monitors department activities and provides coaching and feedback to employees when appropriate.
- Compiles and distributes reports providing appropriate feedback to employees.
- Provides feedback to management regarding employees’ performance on designated department reports.
- Participates in the creation and maintenance of daily/monthly work schedules including callouts and coverage issues.
- Performs timekeeper functions for department.
- Ensures appropriate supply levels are maintained for department.
- Ensures compliance with ongoing Patient Financial Services education requirements.
- Attends educational opportunities outside of department as directed by management.
- Presents materials at department staff meetings as directed by management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Training
- High School or GED required. Associate Degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- None
Experience
- Two (2) years experience in a financial, business office, or customer service environment required.
- Proficient in Windows environment.
- One (1) year PC/Windows experience.
