Course Director, Networks and Server Structures

Winter Park, Florida

This opening is for general consideration for Faculty positions within the Full Sail University Education Department. Course Directors ensure excellence in teaching skills and classroom content, manage instructors and lab personnel to deliver the same excellence in the labs, ensure personal service to students, maintain continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan and design and/or maintain curriculum to ensure industry standards are being met. Our Recruitment Department will consider your application for available career opportunities that suit your qualifications. All positions are full time, on-campus in Winter Park, FL. Networks and Server Structures The Networks and Server Structures Course explores computer operations, networking, and storage options. Students examine various operating systems, CPU and peripheral uses, and networked computer environments and their protocols. This course presents knowledge about communications within single and multiple computers, network communications, and communication protocols. A history of both computers and the Internet is also explored. Education/Training The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four years related (web experience is a plus) and verifiable experience, and a Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines are preferred. Candidates who apply will be reviewed for various open teaching positions. Depending on the course level, requirements will be varied based on our Accrediting Commission (ACCSC). Skills Needed Experience with object oriented programming and server side languages (PHP, Python..etc). Working with databases SQL/MySQL, networking and systems administration, Security, Machine Architecture, JavaScript/JQuery, and Version Control (Git, SVN, etc). All faculty positions require excellent oral and written communication skills, passion to encourage learning, being a self-motivated team member, and the ability to help develop curriculum. Teaching positions will require campus and online teaching.
