The Faculty Development Manager is charged with promoting faculty development, vitality, and enrichment by designing and implementing a comprehensive program of support for all instructional faculty across a broad spectrum of degree areas. Works with the Director of Faculty Affairs and Development in developing departmental goals and measurements to ensure efficient and effective performance. The position is responsible for planning, managing, and administering professional development initiatives for faculty throughout the university.

This position requires a confident, forward thinking, tech-savvy professional with superior interpersonal skills and exceptional leadership ability. An ideal candidate is a natural at motivating students and has proven expertise in empowering educators so that both achieve their fullest potential. It is essential that this individual have first-hand experience with the challenges related to effective communication in a digital age. Experience in teaching multiple genres and the ability to draw and present valid, convincing correlations between the media arts and their direct relevance to the mastery of writing is an essential attribute.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience. A strong record in teaching is necessary. The position requires a professional with the confidence and interpersonal skills necessary to cultivate and teach a team of educators for success. The individual must be a dynamic, effective, and innovative team player, who can establish strong lines of communication with faculty.

Education/Training

The minimum degree requirement is a Master’s degree. Doctoral degree is preferred. The applicant will have a proven track record of success as an educator.
