Associate Course Director, Portfolio Preproduction

Winter Park, Florida

This opening is for general consideration to Faculty positions within the Full Sail University Education Department. Associate Course Directors ensure excellence in teaching skills and classroom content. Support Course Director’s curriculum vision and direction, and assist with lecture and administrative responsibilities as assigned. Ensure personal service to students. Portfolio Preproduction
The Portfolio Preproduction Course develops students’ ability to plan, coordinate, and study assets, using digital methods to demonstrate their learned strengths as a 3D artist. Working from photograph and video reference, students explore and develop characters, environments, vehicles, rigs, and animation ideas. Successful completion of this course arms students with the knowledge of how to use good reference and artistic studies to create production blueprints.
 

Education/Training
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four years related and verifiable experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Animation, Fine Arts, Illustration, Graphic Design or related Art Education. Candidates applying will be reviewed for various open teaching positions. Depending on the course level, requirements will be varied based on our Accrediting Commission (ACCSC).

Skills Needed
Experience in basic graphic design, art fundamentals, and knowledge of the 3D pipeline. Required software knowledge: Adobe Photoshop, Maya, Final Cut, After Effects, Microsoft Office and Keynote. All faculty positions require excellent oral and written communication skills, passion to encourage learning, being a self-motivated team member, ability to help develop curriculum, strong management skills, time management, organizational skills and the ability to help develop lab curriculum.
