Course Director, Computer Systems

Winter Park, Florida

This opening is for general consideration for Faculty positions within the Full Sail University Education Department. Course Directors ensure excellence in teaching skills and classroom content, manage instructors and lab personnel to deliver the same excellence in the labs, ensure personal service to students, maintain continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan and design and/or maintain curriculum to ensure industry standards are being met. Computer Systems

The Computer Systems Course introduces students to the principles of computer architecture and how to apply these principles to current technologies. Fundamentals of processing, storage, and input/output are explored and how those apply to past, current, and emerging technologies. Students will learn about various types of processor architecture and how to utilize this knowledge when working with computers to store and distribute data.

Education/Training

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four years related and verifiable experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking or a related degree; industry certifications are a plus. Candidates applying will be reviewed for various open teaching positions. Depending on the course level, requirements will be varied based on our Accrediting Commission (ACCSC).

Skills Needed
This candidate must possess a broad base of knowledge about computer systems architecture and hardware, system redundancy and high-availability, storage devices, and multiple form factors. The ideal candidate would have industry experience in the Information Technology field and have teaching experience in a college environment. All faculty positions require excellent oral and written communication skills, passion to encourage learning, being a self-motivated team member, and the ability to help develop curriculum. Teaching positions will require campus and online teaching.
