WELCOME AMBASSADOR
 
SUMMARY:
 The Welcome Ambassador role will be that of a lobby ambassador, creating a warm welcome for arriving guests, interacting with guests in the lobby, and promoting hotel facilities and F&B outlets and directing them to the Concierge. The Welcome Ambassador must promote excellence, convey elegance, and inspire luxury with guest and fellow team members. The Welcome Ambassador must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Greet guest as they arrive to check in to the resort and direct them to the Concierge.
  • Consistently demonstrate outstanding guest service skills at all times and to be able to respond quickly and professionally to all guest requests.
  • Create an overall warm and inviting Luxury atmosphere for all of our guests with interaction and anticipating their need.
  • Oversee the processing of all Privilege Card members and airline miles for all of our guests Communicate and partner with Sales and Catering managers on an individual basis to ensure preparation for group arrivals and departures.
  • Provide guests with any information about the resort.
  • Provide guest and owners with updated information. 
  • Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe working environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays are required.
  • The working hours for this position are Thursday-Monday 2pm-10pm. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of front desk experience in a hospitality/hotel environment.
  • Basic office skills helpful including basic math, proper cash handling procedures.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), in a professional and organized manner.
  • Reservation software or proven aptitude and familiarity with computers and computer software in general.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude towards all guests and staff.
  • Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment.
  • Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed.
  • Always maintain a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Be proactive in service - not reactive.
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor in challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.  Must be able to see and hear, bend stoop, crawl and kneel. Also, have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must work a flexible schedule.  NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAY’S ARE REQUIRED.
