General Description:

 

Serve as the financial expert on all details of assigned studies, from start to finish. Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Build study budgets and maintain financial tracking in Clinical Conductor. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all study information. Coordinate as necessary with the clinical teams to accurately track revenues earned by procedure, visit, outsourced procedure, and reimbursable item.
  • Establish milestones and set up alerts through the Project Management section of Clinical Conductor or other tracking mechanisms to notify the appropriate clinic team when critical tasks need to be completed.
  • Post all study revenues completely and accurately in both Clinical Conductor and QuickBooks.
  • Create and send invoices for all services performed in the study, in both QuickBooks and Clinical Conductor. Correspond with study sponsors as needed to collect payment for all invoices in less than 60 days.
  • Monitor studies for timely payment when milestones have been reached. Identify problem accounts that are likely to become an issue of slow or non-payment and contact the sponsors to collect the cash.
  • Record payment activity in Clinical Conductor and reconcile sales earned in QuickBooks.
  • Perform month-end reconciliation between Clinical Conductor and QuickBooks.
  • Communicate closely with the clinical team regarding increases in enrollment, screen failures, reimbursable items, etc. Negotiate detailed contract and budget amendments with study sponsors. Enter these amendments into Clinical Conductor, and build new study budget arms in Clinical Conductor as required.
  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Proficient with MS Office, QuickBooks and/or related accounting software applications.
  • Prerequisites:

     

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics and/or related field from a four-year college or university. MBA Preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an office setting with emphasis on accounting, accounts receivable, and/or customer service.
