Marketing and Sales Manager
Crayola Experience - Orlando


The Marketing and Sales Manager will be responsible for providing the leadership and strategic direction for marketing and sales of Crayola Experience Orlando, including building attendance, ticket & retail sales, all public relations activities, public announcements, promotion development, community relations, industry relationships, data analysis, and digital/social communication priorities. The individual in this role will be accountable for leadership and oversight of locally controlled media strategy and any associated agencies while working closely with Crayola corporate management and CE General Manager.

This role is responsible for the day to day management of a four person marketing and sales department including setting priorities, meeting deadlines and coordinating all marketing and group sales efforts for Crayola Experience. This position takes on "main point of contact" responsibilities with media and community leaders during the initial construction phase of the facility until General Manager is brought on site. This position works alongside other key managers to create a thoughtful company-wide strategic marketing program and collaborates with senior leadership to identify and implement future creative Crayola Experience updates.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Responsible for driving admission sales by creating & implementing a holistic Marketing & Sales Plan for CE.
• Partner with other management personnel to develop the event calendar for CE, develop a marketing program around the calendar -- identify key strategies, priorities and marketing tactics. Lead implementation of these marketing plans including creative development, media planning and promotional programming.
• Support all work around improving operational excellence at CE to develop an effective operational model for CE. This will include special promotional events and programming (such as birthdays, summer camps, school trips, etc), pricing models, membership plans, analysis of staffing requirements and scheduling processes, etc
• Plans & executes marketing research to guide decision making.
• Work with internal partners (Design, Engineering, Education Mktg) to identify and implement new exhibits and creative experience upgrades
• Serve as a liaison between CE and corporate office to identify synergies and opportunities for efficiencies, improve communication and alignment between the two locations/offices, as well as identify opportunities to scale programs by leveraging CE and national plans/programming
• Support development of strategy & plans to scale CES beyond a single location, as appropriate
• Manage all CE Sales and Marketing employees. Overall responsibility for recruiting/hiring, onboarding, time & attendance management, performance management and terminations of CE Sales and Marketing employees.
• Assume "Manager Of the Day " role in CE which includes overall management responsibility across all departments
• Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed for the operation

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• College degree: Bachelor's degree in a business related field (marketing preferred.) Masters degree a plus.
• 5-7 years experience in marketing and/or sales -- must have experience in leading cross-functional teams; developing objectives, strategies and priorities; strong entrepreneurial mindset
• Strategic and partnership experience a plus.
• Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays
