The Ideal Candidate for this Position
The ideal candidate will be an experienced breakfast and lunch cook. They will be a team player. A friendly smile and positive attitude is a must.
Responsibilities for this Position
- Prepare, season, and cook breakfast foods (eggs, omelets, breakfast potatoes, etc.) soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs for consumption in The Club, clubhouse functions, quick turn, hospitality carts, and room service.
- Read menu to estimate food requirements, requisitions food from storage.
- Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roaster and steam kettles.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipments such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and knives.
- Poach, fry, saute, bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods.
- Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking, according to personal judgment and experience.
- Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to observe that it is cooked.
- Carve meats, portion food onto serving plates, add gravies and sauces and garnish servings. Wash, peel, cut and shred vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use. May butcher chicken, fish, and shellfish.
- May cut, trim and bone meat prior to cooking.
- Responsible for set-up and follow through for station to which assigned.
Technical Requirements:
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to converse in basic English.
- Must be able to work independently. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.

- An energetic personality.
Educational Requirements:
- Technical school or formal technical skills training.
- Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
