Ophthalmic Technician

Our client is a large Medical Eye Office and they are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join their team. They are proud to provide excellence in eye care services with recognized leaders in the industry.  

 Ophthalmic Job Description 
If you are an experienced Ophthalmic Technician with at least 2 years of recent Opthalmology experience, we may have a great opportunity for you! Ability to perform manual refraction is required, along with exceptional customer service skills and ability to pay attention to detail.

Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, be personable and show empathy and compassion towards patients. Must be able to work with patients of all ages - including pediatrics. Must be very computer literate and have experience working as part of a large team. Must be able to assist physicians in all clinical areas including minor surgical procedures and perform tests as ordered by physicians.

Candidate Skills

• Must be able to perform accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks to include: Visual Acuity, Manual Lensometry, Confrontational Visual Fields, Stereo testing, Evaluation of Motility, Pupillary Function Tests, Color Plates, Applanation Tonometry, Humphrey Visual Field Testing, OCT, Topography.
• Assist patients with contact lens fitting, I & R ordering and maintaining contact lens inventory
