amaZulu, Inc. is a leading supplier of natural and synthetic eco-friendly architectural materials like bamboo, thatch, rustic fencing, shade structures. amaZulu, Inc materials are used to create exotic attractions at theme parks, zoos, aquariums, spas, restaurants, and resort homes.  This position will report to the President.

The Inside Sales Executive will sell building materials to the private consumer; plan and implement sales for both short and long range revenue goals, targeted toward existing and new markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Must have industry knowledge in selling building materials, or construction. Position requires knowledge on how to price using "square footage" mathematics.
  • Assist customers that come directly to the amaZulu offices (tour of warehouse), service the amaZulu residential market, and respond to email requests.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Maintains relationships with customers by providing support, information, and product guidance.
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Develops effective sales and marketing metrics with demonstrated results to measure success and improve productivity and results.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Presentation skills, Client Relationships, Emphasizing Excellence, Energy Level, Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Sales Goals, Creativity, Sales Planning, Independence, Motivation for Sales. 
  • Must have strong Mathematical skills in applying Square Feet in order to formulate proposals and provide accurate pricing to customers

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing is preferred.
