POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to support the development of associates within our Contact Center. Designers will develop solutions for a variety of functional areas and should therefore be able to apply ID principles to all situations. Duties include executing all aspects of the ADDIE Model as well as Needs Assessment and Project Management. The Instructional Designer plans, organizes, develops and analyzes training curricula, materials, CBT's and has experience in using Learning Management Systems to meet Contact Center needs and business goals. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts structured needs assessments and provides detailed recommendations to Manager, Learning Development/QA.
  • Identify appropriate solution(s) for instructional program.
  • Develops evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training.
  • Develops reports to analyze and communicate training results to our business partners.
  • Designs programs using a systematic instructional design process with an outcomes-based methodology. 
  • Assesses designs and develops "user-friendly" instructional materials including training modules, manuals, teaching aids, leader led, self-paced study and implements multimedia for a blended learning environment. 
  • Develops and designs training scripts to be used in learning lesson plans. 
  • Evaluates training programs using systematic instructional design process. Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact. 
  • Reviews all training programs ensuring business needs and design/competency standards are set forth by the Manager, Learning Development/QA are met. 
  • Revises existing training materials and programs based on audit results, questionnaires, changing procedures and feedback from internal/external customers, subject matter experts, program sponsors and trainers. 
  • Proposes plans to reduce classroom time, increase self-study and online learning with proven ROI
  • Implement eLearning solutions on LMS through a Train-the-Trainer or other delivery preparation method.
  • Collaborate effectively with business partners to accomplish Learning and Development goals.
  • Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support attainment of business and organizational objectives.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Degree in related field (Adult Learning, Instructional Design, HR development etc) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience developing training solutions required.
  • Experience applying all steps in the ADDIE model.
  • Experience developing in a variety of instructional media including virtual classroom, face-to-face, simulation, eLearning, self-paced, job-aids, etc. or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Strong coaching, interpersonal and development skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective team interaction/linking, both peer to peer and supervisor to employee.
  • Able to develop/modify process, establish procedures and execute plans, through proper and accurate analytical & diagnostic process.
  • Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment.
  • Must be innovative and flexible.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must have experience working with various instructional equipment including LCD projectors, desktops/laptops, printers, interactive boards and other classroom technologies.
  • Must have experience working with various instructional software applications.
  • Articulate.
  • Must have experience working in Learning Management Systems; Saba preferred.
  • Excellent computer literacy, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Travel Requirements: This position requires occasional travel.
