Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
- As application portfolio is replaced or as new applications are added, similar application specific requirements will be added as required.
- Familiarity with network communications technology.
- Proficient with Documentum – EMC
- Specific OS is not necessarily important, but the ability to understand, troubleshooting, and possibly write/modify shell scripts is important
- 3 or more years of experience with Documentum Content Server administration
- Strong experience in upgrade and migration of Content server 6.7 x to 7.0/7.1 and WebTop from 6.7 to 6.8.
- Strong experience in WDK and DFC customizations.
- Strong understanding of EMC Documentum Server architecture and components
- Experience with EMC Records Manager, Webtop, xPlore, Forms Builder, BPM, and Captiva InputAccel
- Knowledge of Java software development including Documentum Foundation Class and WDK
- Proficient with administering Documentum 6.5/6/7 SP2 in a UNIX/Oracle environment
- Demonstrated ability to install Documentum software including Documentum Administrator (DA) and Webtop
- Proficient in configuring Content Server and application server to perform optimally; work will include performance tuning, doctype object model modifications, creation and maintenance of registered tables, and ACL creation and modification
- Ability to write Documentum Query Language (DQL)/API scripts

NATURE OF WORK: Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical EMC Documentum application. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. This position will be responsible for management of the third party managed services vendor as well as the application supplier vendor.
Responsibilities:
- Administer existing application production & development environments and all components.
- Migrate or promote development projects into production & development environments.
- Provide consulting and technical expertise to other members of the IT Department.
- Develop and maintain system technical standards.
- Provide support to application developers, Operations and end-users when required.
- Work with relational databases and tune subsystems for database performance.
- Monitor the Application and identify any needed patches, upgrades or changes affecting the applications acquired by OUC in the future.
- Coordinate with application developers, database administrators, and management to develop, participate in, and enforce procedures for: Change control, communication of patches, upgrades, and changes to production.
- Serve as a liaison between applications and staff (both technical and functional) for the identification and resolution of issues. (including 3rd party vendors)
- Serve as a liaison between OUC and the application vendors to address performance issues or problem analysis and see them through to resolution.
- Execution of environment refreshes and maintenance of these different environments.
- Proficiency in using Vendor Tools to perform Tools and Application upgrades. (See under requirements for specific proficiencies needed)
- Work directly with end users to answer questions about data items or resolve any data conflicts.
- Coordinate performance analysis, recommendations, and improvements within the Applications infrastructure.
- Monitor application parameters and tune as required maintaining optimal performance using a multi tired, multi server environment.
- Participate in high availability and disaster recovery testing of the application.
- Analyzes user and business requirements; determines appropriate technical approach and develops specifications for implementation of various applications utilizing appropriate tools.
- Participates in the development and use of other user oriented tools for data extraction and analysis.
Coordinate with Help Desk and Networks regarding production configuration changes.
