Revenue Cycle Analyst

Job Description

 
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial and operational information.  The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for management of multiple interactions related to accounts receivable, systems analysis, process improvement initiatives and daily reporting needs including ad-hoc reports for management.  The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for refunds, quarterly Medicare / Medicaid credit balance reporting, Charity Care Application approvals, attorney requests, Health Plan maintenance, payor projects, adjustments and prompt pay agreements.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate will have experience in the following areas: 

• 3 or more years of healthcare experience in patient accounting, finance or other analytical review position required

Minimum Education Required/Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, healthcare/business administration or other related fields preferred
• High School Diploma with seven to ten years of related work experience considered

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required
• Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Knowledge of Cerner ProFit preferred
