The Web Systems Administrator II is responsible for supporting the IMT (Information and Media Technology) department and the institution as a whole. You will be part of a small team with an emphasis on shared responsibility, willingness to contribute,  and interest in taking on new projects/tasks.  Being in a support role it is important to be flexible with your time and efforts: this is not just a standard 9 to 5 gig.  We value independent, self starters with the understanding that the more an individual is able to bring to the table in terms of vision, direction, skill, and accountability, the stronger the team becomes and the better we are able to approach complex and demanding problems successfully.

If all you have ever done is racked some servers, cabled some switches, configured iptables, deployed a Rails app, or engineered an HA Postgres solution it's possible this is not the job for you.  However, if these tasks excited you and fueled your initiative to learn more, you may be a great fit.
