Job Title: Guest Services Agent

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Accommodate guests of the resort by maintaining the highest levels of customer service excellence. Operate computerized reservations and hotel management system with skill and expertise to expedite arrival and departure of guests to the resort.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Answer guest questions and offer information and assistance related to all aspects of the resort.
- Answer telephones utilizing a PBX phone system.
- Check guests in and out in an orderly, efficient manner with a high degree of attention to guest satisfaction, and details of check in/check out.
- Assist in all guest services areas as needed.
- Communicate with other departments to fulfill guest needs.
- Maintain work area neat and organized.
- Monitor reservations made and house count.
- Monitor status of guest accounts.
- Pay close attention to detail and report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Accurately update information in the computer systems as needed (i.e., post charges).
- Take ownership of all complaints and concerns that occur during shifts. If unable to appropriately resolve, contact Department Manager or GM.
- Assist in the training and development of new Front Desk Receptionists and concierge.
- Follow checklist for required duties and timelines.
- Run reports and complete them, i.e., high balance, cash basis, etc.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Read, pass on log and communicate with previous shift.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training, understanding the workings of the resort, and be willing to assist when needed.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the resort as directed by the immediate supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager-on-duty.
- Perform additional duties as required by Management and/or business demands.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Computer experience preferred
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Six months Front Desk or Customer Service experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Be able to work in a hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs.
