Production Lead

Job Purpose
The warehouse worker contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office.  Warehouse workers in this job perform a range of general and specific warehouse task that can be easily learned on the job such as counting, packing, storing, shipping and receiving stock.

Essential Job Functions:

• Opens/closes warehouse gates. Ensures security/safety/sanitation throughout warehouse. 
• Assists in receiving and counting inventory when shipment arrives. 
• Stock inventory in designated Pick area.
• Obtain/Pick inventory for products per Customer Order
• Verify Customer Orders to ensure correct inventory is being picked.
• Package finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling). Ensure proper size box is used and correct number of products is packaged. 
• Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out, and no damaged product will be stored. 
• Responsible to assure the daily quota of 125 packages per worker is achieved.
• Ensures Mail delivered to Accountant.
• Operate with forklift and/or palette jacks if certified. 
• Perform on the job training to new employee or assigns designated person to train.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations. 
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery 
• Provide fill in support for other departments in the warehouse 
• Responsible for cycle counts for warehouse inventory on weekly basis or as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
 Job Requirements:

• Experience/ Training/ Education:
• Required: The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Experience in operating a Forklift is desirable. 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Warehouse Workers must have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints; Principles, practices and procedures of warehouse environment; ability to follow written and/or oral instructions; correctly follow a given rule or set of rules in order to arrange things or actions in a certain order; warehouse workers in specific position require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should have the ability to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds; ability to work in variable temperatures; ability to use forklift, if necessary.

Working Conditions:  Warehouse Workers will spend long hours standing, bending, walking, and stretching, lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds and carrying of smaller items will be involved. The work still can be strenuous.  Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and work shoes. Typical work week is Monday through Friday; however, evening and weekend hours might be required.
