.Velocity Powerboats is seeking an experienced professional with 5 + years experience in Fiberglass Lamination.
The innovative hull design of VELOCITY powerboats enables our boats to plane quicker, reach higher top speeds and turn sharper while maintaining general stability and overall safety at all speeds of the fun spectrum. Because of our superior hull design and efficient, light-weight construction, VELOCITY POWERBOATS ARE MORE FUEL EFFICIENT than other boats.
Fiberglass Laminators and Fabricators Job Responsibilities:

Select, measure and cut fiberglass mats, cloth, and composite materials as required by lamination schedules.

Hand-lay fiberglass, Spray resins and catalysts onto prepared molds using pneumatic spray guns.

Release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers.

Pat or press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smooth out wrinkles and air bubbles with hands or squeegees.

Mix catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures, using brushes.

Bond composite materials to decks and hulls of boats using resin-saturated fiberglass or bonding putty as appropriate.

Check completed parts for conformance to specifications by checking them visually and by tapping them to detect air voids or dead spots.

Trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives.

Repair or modify damaged or defective parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair.

Lead team members in the production of assigned parts, to ensure the highest of quality of workmanship.
