Position, Purpose and Objectives

The Packaging Line Mechanics will work on a variety of manual, semi-automated and automated packaging lines making mechanical and electrical repairs and completing line set ups. Working with diligent attention to the details of each job specification, in a safe and efficient manner provides Celmark’s customers with the most consistent and highest quality product. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ Mechanical experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment required

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Packaging line mechanical/electrical experience required

  • Required to have your own hand tools

    Essential Job Functions

  • Inspect equipment, preform PM’s & repairs, complete line set ups on liquid, topical and powder packaging lines

  • Understand packaging line operations to ensure assigned task is being performed at optimal output for line efficiency

  • Follow company policies, cGMP, SOP and safety guidelines while working on the packaging lines

  • Troubleshoot, adjustments and repairs using hand tools on machinery such as inline filler, rotary filler, poly pack, induction seal, sleevers and any other machinery used during the course of a packaging run effectively and efficiently

  • Accurately complete required paperwork specific to your assignment

  • Be responsible for designated work area and the overall cleanliness of the facility

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Mechanically inclined with the willingness to learn new machinery as needed

  • Ability to perform tasks at a high speed effectively and efficiently

  • Experience with cGMP procedures and knowledge of safety , OSHA regulations

  • Ability to read, write and understand English; perform basic mathematical calculation

  • Able to participate in a team-oriented environment

  • Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous process improvement

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends and nights before and after scheduled shift as needed

  • Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure situations

  • Self-motivated with an internal drive to succeed

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  .

  • Must be flexible to work nights and/or weekends when required

    Working Conditions

  • Cleanroom facility, both climate and non-climate controlled environments

  • Bending, stooping and standing for entire day

  • Working with hands all day with little to no rest
