Nursing Operations Manager - Dr. Philips Hospital, Orlando Health

 

Dr. P. Philips Hospital, a part of Orlando Health is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager to join our team.

Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is a full-service medical/surgical facility serving the residents of southwest Orange County and Orlando's growing tourist population. We are seeking an experienced Nursing Operations Manager with experience preferably obtained through the management of a clinical service line. The Nursing Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality of care, patient-first focus and adequate patient access in daily operations within the scope of services through fiscal responsibility, resource allocation, continual process improvement, quality assurance and collaboration with physician and administrative leadership as well as other departments.

The Manager will be responsible for Centralized Telemetry, Cardiac PCU, Cardiac Intervention and the Chest Pain Center. The Manager works with the cardiovascular service line leadership team toward the end goal of positioning Orlando Health to be the most advanced and comprehensive center for heart care in Florida, achieved through the over-arching organizational strategies of patient-first, clinically integrated, quality outcome-driven model of care.

Roles:

Responsible for the overall operations of an inpatient nursing 24/7 unit.

Plans and coordinates quality and service activities in the department/unit and is responsible

for the overall culture of safety within the department/unit.

Assures development, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based, quality clinical

nursing practice consistent with nursing research, organizational and national practice standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required with Two (2) years' experience as a registered nursein the acute care setting and one (1) year leadership experience.

Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Health Sciences Administration with four

(4) years of experience as a registered nurse and one (1) year leadership experience is required.

Current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. Maintains current BLS.

Achieves financial and operational benchmarks by developing capital and operating budgets and monitoring all operational expenses.
