JOB SUMMARY:
Manages and maintains documents and other materials that have historical importance and help ensure all Federal, State and Local record keeping compliance standards are being met.
Responsible for performing specialized clerical duties to convert physical data into a digital/electronic format. Responds to requests for the retrieval of archived information.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive data/records/files, etc. for preservation and/or retention
- Use scanner to convert data/records/files, etc. into electronic format.
- Organize electronic data to meet firm’s record keeping standards (OCR, mapping, etc )
- Work with electronic storage media, such as hard drives, floppy drives, and CD-ROMs.
- Execute requests for the retrieval of archived data/records/files, etc.;
- Responsible for procedures of off site record-keeping system including the retention or destruction of records;
- Respond to personal, telephone, email and written inquiries
- Advise on the ongoing organization and storage of material in order to plan for the future.
- Knowledge and familiarity with record-keeping and data management protocols preferred
- Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30lbs regularly
- Able to go up and down steps and/or a ladder daily.
- Able to bend, squat and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have reliable transportation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum H.S. Diploma. Experience in Electronic File Management a plus. Preferably within a professional services environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Highly detailed oriented.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and Windows based computer applications.
- Exceptional communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Energetic, detailed oriented & highly motivated.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to organize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Work overtime, evenings, and week-ends, as needed.
