Manager, Maintenance & Engineering
Central Florida Press is the largest Commercial Printer in Central Florida. This fast growing, dynamic and privately owned company is looking for individuals to be part of something special. CFP offers a full array of 40 inch sheetfed presses, full and half web presses and a battery of finishing capabilities, staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week to support any customer needs and requirements.
Position Summary:
Maintenance & Engineering Manager oversees all aspects of the Maintenance department in to keep equipment, buildings, and grounds in optimum operating condition, top physical appearance and in compliance with state and local regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The essential job functions include, however are not limited to the following:
- Develops manpower, facilities, and financial forecasts for the Maintenance Department and meets efficiency and utilization targets as budgeted
- Manages and initiates all scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work to facilities and equipment
- Oversees Safety in the Workplace, through management of safety committees, education, investigations, and OSHA compliance
- Responsible for local, state, and federal environmental regulations, audits, and compliance
- Coordinates vendors with maintenance schedule
- Frequently confers with supervisors of manufacturing to coordinate activities of individual departments
- Analyzes problems and makes decisions on courses of action during breakdowns
- Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies
- Follows up on invoices for supplies, repair parts or service and issues payment authorization after vendors’ obligations have been completed
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Maintains time and production records
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6-10 years related experience and/or training
- Four year BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to build strong professional relationships
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
