The position is responsible for performing the following functions\: Serve as a subject matter expert in anti-money laundering investigations and analysis for sensitive high-risk Citi consumer and business accounts involving banking, brokerage and other activity which involves a wide array of complex products including but not limited to banking, brokerage, mortgage, loans, credit, and PIC/Trust products Perform daily work focused on mitigating money laundering risks to Citi and its high net worth/high risk customers from illicit activities, which requires a high degree of independent discretion, decision making and confidentiality and is directly related to the general business operations of AML Americas and its customers Act autonomously and utilize independent discretion and a high degree of sound judgment in conducting timely, accurate and effective analysis and investigation of anomalous behavior associated with a wide variety of high risk Citi financial products, services and accounts monitored by the AML Americas GWM team Independently assess and analyze research results, and conduct complex data analysis applying SME knowledge and experience Provide training/mentoring to new analysts on investigative techniques, internal systems, case narrative construction, and applicable AML/Bank Secrecy Act money laundering laws and regulations Perform peer review of investigations (alert and/or cases) to ensure appropriate dispositions have been recommended by analysts Identify process and/or system improvement initiatives and resolution in order to reengineer and streamline workflow Responsible for the supporting the successful accomplishment of internal Risk Control, and Self-Assessment (RCSA) policies, as they apply to this department Responsible for the implementation and operation of integrated processes and procedures aimed at meeting internal and external regulatory or policy guidance Actively interface with internal audit & external Federal Regulators Responsible for the development of written process and procedures documents accurately reflecting policy, the unit-level operations, and the translation of broad corporate guidance in to effective leadership behaviors Prepares documents on compliance problems, ensure compliance with Global Legal, Corporate and Business policy requirements Maintain a proactive curiosity and pursue investigations to a greater level of diligence than normally required for the standard due diligence Identifies and resolves problems in a timely fashion following established guidelines Identify trends and issues in order to increase quality of applications received and escalate any issues to Compliance Management for further action Proactively identifies global corporate reputational and other AML-related risk and takes appropriate measures, including proper escalation, to mitigate identified risks Perform various other duties as assignedThe position is responsible of 2 years general AML investigations experience required Minimum 5-8 years relevant work experience required Required working knowledge of Compliance and AML / BSA matters, AML laws and regulations Strong understanding of various banking and/or brokerage products Strong understanding of AML trends and typologies/methodologies Strong understanding of research and data techniques and analytics Strong decision making skills Ability to anticipate and respond to management and internal customer needs, and to follow through and complete requests on time Excellent organizational skills High attention to detail Ability to multitask under tight deadlines Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate flexibility Ability to interact with multiple levels of management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent corporate work ethics Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem solving Self motivated self starter who can work independently without supervision
