AML Sr. Data Analyst- AVP

Perform data research and analytical tasks in support of AML Operations & Compliance.

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity of AML alerts.

- Use appropriate data analytic and statistical tools and techniques to analyze a variety of data sources.

- Develop internal partnerships within Citi to provide opportunities for more efficient solutions to various data, system, and applications issues.

- Assist in implementation of additional scenarios, businesses, systems, etc. within the Americas hub.

- Perform data searches and/or other ad hoc requests.

-Responsible for the data mining, manipulation, and support of new product Analytical Reports.

- Analyze and interpret reporting results to assist business users.
- Support and enhance the production reporting cycle.

- Ensure that any new procedure, process or report created for business are tested and documented.
- Ensure reports are generated and distributed within expected time frames for all business units.
- Responsible to ensure that adequate checks and balances have been implemented to ensure accuracy of reports.
- Required to review and notate dramatic changes in reported numbers and trends.

• Bachelors Degree in Science, Computer Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, Actuarial Sciences or Economics.
• Sr. Data Analyst should have the right balance of the problem solving abilities, technical hands-on data analysis skills, financial business knowledge, and intellectual curiosity that are essential for knowledge discovery tasks.

Specific requirements include\:

- 5+ yrs of business experience

- data analytical skills.

- Ad hoc prototyping skills using multiple techniques to solve a myriad of business scenarios.

- Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency with SQL and other standard database query tools. (Oracle preferred)

- Proficiency with statistical/data management tools, (SAS preferred).

- Proficiency working with data to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to adjust to changing focus and/or priority as well as the ability to successfully multi-task as needed and set priorities as needed.

- Mature, self-starting, self-motivating, and capable of making decisions independently.
