Skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic

 Must have the following in order to apply: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of industrial maintenance mechanics experience
• Safety Shield mask or goggles; employer does not provide this equipment
• Able to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Stick, Mig and Tig welding experience
• Certification is a plus

Required Screenings:
Drug Testing/Screening, Background Checks and Reference Checks. Bonding and Test/Assessment (Welding Skills Assessment)
 
Job Description:           
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs
• Assembling and installing equipment using hand tools and power tools
• Signaling crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate, and aligning unit to centerline
• Replacing defective parts of machine or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts
• Dismantling machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Moving machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Laying out mounting holes using measuring instruments, and drilling holes with power drill
• Leveling bedplate and establishing centerline using straightedge, levels, and transit
• Ability to use a micrometer
• Inserting shims, adjusting tension on nuts and bolts, or positioning parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts

Work Environment:
Indoor/Outdoor; Construction sites. Must wear protective/safety gear. Employer will discuss dress code with applicant.

Days & Hours:
Full Time position. Days Shift. Monday through Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm. 40 hours per week.
