MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR:  J. Douglas Williams YMCA (Lake Mary)

The YMCA of Central Florida, located in Orlando, is seeking an experienced sales professional who is results driven and an advocate of health and wellness.  This position will provide daily supervision to front desk operations, oversee relationship building with members, staff, volunteers, and guests, and drive all aspects of customer sales and services with key emphasis on connecting and engaging with members, potential members and program participants. Candidate will serve in a key role with the Family Center’s senior leadership team and will work directly with all program areas to ensure service excellence is at the highest level. 

The Membership Director also provides leadership for membership campaigns, special events, and will represent the YMCA at community functions and creating awareness of the many benefits of YMCA membership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communications or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a membership or service oriented field, YMCA background desired.
  • Strong skills in leading and motivating staff to achieve targeted goals and measureable outcomes.
  • Computer skills including database and word processing applications essential, familiarity of Oracle operations a plus.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal, public relations and communication skills.
  • Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, a plus.
