Community Relations Representative - Minority Business Development, Orlando Health

 

The Minority and Business Development Team a part of Orlando Health is seeking a Community Relations Representative to join their team.

Orlando Health is a $1.9 billion not-for-profit health care organization and a community-based network of hospitals and care centers in the Orlando region. The organization, which includes the area's only Level One Trauma Centers for adults and pediatrics, is a statutory teaching hospital system that offers both specialty and community hospitals. They are: Orlando Regional Medical Center; Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children; Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies; Dr. P. Phillips Hospital; South Seminole Hospital; Health Central Hospital; UF Health Cancer Center at Orlando Health; South Lake Hospital (50 percent affiliation); and St. Cloud Regional Medical Center (20 percent affiliation). Orlando Health's areas of clinical excellence are heart and vascular, cancer care, neurosciences, surgery, pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatology, and obstetrics and gynecology.

The MBD representative is needed to support the data collection, Supplier Review Team work, vendor communications follow up, supplier events, scheduling internal and external meetings. He/she serves as the Orlando Health liaison promoting Orlando Health Diversity and Minority Business Development. He/she will develop methods and strategies to educate and assist targeted organizations and community leaders in developing a better understanding of Orlando Health's Supplier Diversity and Diversity and Minority Business Development initiatives internally and externally.The selected candidate will serves as an Orlando Health liaison to secure a spokesperson for civic groups promoting Orlando Health. Develop methods and strategies to educate and assist targeted organizations and community leaders by developing better understanding of Orlando Health, its needs and its role in the community.

Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:

Strong computer skills, proficeint in all Microsoft Office products. Strong organizational and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field. Valid Florida driver's license with no more than six (6) points, at least 21 years of age, and must be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carrier's requirements and standards. One year experience in public relations or related experience.122904
