General Overview

RAMCON, LLC is a leading full-service commercial/industrial roofing contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL. We are seeking a qualified and professional full time Commercial Roofing Estimator for immediate open position. Come join a winning team with opportunities for advancement. This salaried position reports directly to the V.P. - Estimating, and works closely with other Estimators, Project Managers and Contract Administrators.

Summary of Job Description:

• Visits prospective reroofing projects, reviews new construction bid documents, including project drawings, specifications, material/subcontract quotes to prepare cost estimates.
• Prepares accurate labor and material cost estimates, including building code compliance and manufacturers specifications for project warranties.
• Works closely with Estimating Administrator to develop and submit proper bid documents and proposals.
• Follows up consistently to obtain contracts on projects bid.
• Reviews contracts obtained to ensure compliance with proposals.
• Communicates effectively with Project Managers to ensure projects are prepared for commencement, in accordance with the work proposed and contracted.

Job Requirements:

• Experienced in commercial/industrial roofing system design and installation, code compliance and manufacturers requirements for warranty.
• Ability to read/interpret architectural drawings, specifications and prepare proper roofing cost estimates.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Contractors and Customers to close on proposed projects.
• Computer skills required (proficient in MS Word, Excel, The Edge Estimating System a plus).
