Compass is currently looking for a Project Director to oversee the planning, scheduling, communication, execution, and measuring of assigned projects from beginning to end. This person will be responsible for completing all projects within budget and in a detailed and professional manner.
Primary Responsibilities will be as follows:
PLANNING & SCHEDULING
• Define the scope of projects in collaboration with the COO.
• Create detailed work plans that identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete assigned projects.
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, personnel, etc.) required to complete the project.
• Develop a schedule for project completion, review the schedule with COO and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities, and make schedule revisions as necessary.
MEASURING
• Determine the objectives/measures upon which each project will be evaluated at completion.
• Evaluate and report the outcomes of all projects.
EXECUTION
• Execute the project. Prepare and complete action plans, implement productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolve problems, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes.
• Monitor the progress of all projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projects.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff in the organization, on the progress of the project.
• Review the quality of the work completed with COO on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards and timelines.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of
quality.
FINANCIAL
• Forecast financial requirements, obtain approval for project expenditures, prepare project budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions. Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies, and meet the financial objectives of the project.
• Prepare financial summaries and ensure supporting documentation is up to date for all projects.
OWNERSHIP AND INITIATIVE
• Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.
Prerequisites for this position:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in communication, business, or related field; Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
Minimum 2-3 years of planning and/or project management experience is required.
