Job Title: Welcome Hut/Guest Services Assistant
Department: Guest Services
Reports To: Guest Services Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: .
- Responsible for executing proper communication to incoming guests at the Welcome Hut
- Verify every guest, staff member, volunteer and visitor through the Welcome Hut
- Notify respective department staff members of guest arrivals
- Notify respective departments of delivery vehicles
- Support PBX/Operator for general GKTW phone reception – routing calls appropriately throughout the Village
- Support Guest Operations administrative tasks as designated by the Guest Services Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, and write English to communicate with co-workers/volunteers/guests/vendors/participants.
- PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the in-house RAVEN system
- Decisive and creative problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to meet the needs of guests, staff, volunteers, and participants
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- 1+ years of previous guest services experience (hotel/resort preferable)
