Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Join the award-winning team at Nickelodeon Resort, Orlando!  We are looking for a dynamic person to develop his/her culinary career in the position of Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.  If you are interested in becoming part of our Food and Beverage department please review the following responsibilities.  Produce weekly schedules for team members and have posted two weeks in advance.  Perform monthly staff meetings to include all operational issues, future events, hotel wide information relevant to team members, question and answer section to provide team members the opportunity to voice opinion.  Train all team members and ensure they are ready before releasing them to work on their own.  Perform all necessary reviews for team members based on the hotel values, vision and mission, to include 90 day performance and annual reviews.  Inventory Nicktoons Café, Room Service and Mall buffet on a monthly basis. Insure all inventory sheets are current with price and item corrections before inventory is completed monthly.  Ensure Nicktoons Café and room service areas are clean at all times, ready for service and are left show ready for our guests.  Run monthly, weekly and daily contest to increase revenues and guest check average. To include full tracking program, posting current standings and ensuring that hotel needs are meet in regards to revenue, guest service or cost savings.  Check all servers sales in Nicktoons and Room service looking for correct revenue capture and ensuring that your team is following all cash handling procedures and anti-theft measures are being used effectively.  Work with Beverage Manager to improve your team’s beverage knowledge assuring that your team has the proper knowledge of beverage specials and any items that have sold out.  Work food and beverage general cash room when scheduled.  Perform opening and closing managers checklist when assigned.  Help all fellow food and beverage managers during the course of the day to ensure the entire food and beverage team is achieving departmental goals, values and mission

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:  Minimum 2 years previous experience as a food and; beverage supervisor.  ServSafe Food Handler Certified.  Able to work independently and possess strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Must possess effective oral and written communication skills as well as being a dynamic leader
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
