Router Salesperson – DSD

Must have the following in order to apply:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in related field
• Valid CDL Class (B) license
• Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds
• Customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, as needed

Preferred Skills:

• 2 year college degree from a regionally accredited college or university or college coursework preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years previous sales experience and/or grocery experience preferred

Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Travels through assigned territory in Company route truck to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and deliver orders route may require overnight travel
• Attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills will be used
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales invoices for orders obtained and collects cash or checks for prior sales
• Delivers products to customer, stocks retail cases and rotates inventory in customers coolers as required
• Maintains daily Department of Transportation reports such as Daily Trip Report and Time Logs and provides to local management as required
• Maintains daily truck inventory and does weekly physical inventory and reports any variations to local management
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damages to the vehicles
• Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
• Performs daily vehicle inspections as per company policy 

Work Environment:
Driving Truck environment. Will be discussed with applicant.
 
Days & Hours:
Full Time position; Day shift and 40 hours per week. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant.
