DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bindery Operator position is responsible for:

• Binding and finishing material.  This includes the operation of the cutter,  folders, and additional assorted bindery equipment
• Installation and adjustment of side guides, feed guides, holding clamps, rollers, jogging tray at discharge end of the machine, and other machine parts to accommodate sheets
• Cutting and  folding
• Ensuring each job is run to customer required specifications and quality expectations
• Maintaining and repairing bindery equipment as required
• Maintaining a clear and orderly work area

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years experience in a commercial bindery
• Strong mechanical skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to follow detailed instructions
• Prefer experience with MBO or Stahl Folder
• Must be reliable and flexible to meet customer demands
• Communicating with others in a positive and helpful manner
• Excellent organizational and mathematical skills
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends
• Ability to stand continuously for 12 hour shifts
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
