Digital Account Executive
Seeking a Digital Sales Executive for our Advertising Sales Department with a focus on producing incremental and new business revenue from Digital/Online sales opportunities through sales projects and strategies in order to meet advertising revenue goals as established in the company’s annual operating plan. Primary focus on maintaining and growing Territory and Local business digital sales.
Responsibilities
- Focus primarily on maintaining and growing small to medium local digital business, responsible for generating an average revenue sales amount of $35-$50K monthly.
- To possess a thorough knowledge of the Digital medium & apply needs based principles to help grow our customers’ business through Digital Marketing solutions.
- Work in conjunction with the Digital Architects/Planners to create and develop promotional campaigns in order to secure advertiser commitments for customized, comprehensive solutions that include a substantial creative Digital component.
- Help educate/work in conjunction with the Multimedia staff on our ability to uncover Digital opportunities that include helping businesses to establish their brand online with custom solutions or with mobile programs, create and implement search engine strategy, grow their social media followers or develop a customized website.
- Be able to conduct a thorough analysis of a customer/prospects’ needs in order to develop a strategy customized for their business & goals.
- Make aggressive daily outbound calls, set appointments and develop sales proposals to potential customers of Orlando Sentinel’s Online & Digital solutions
- Generate incremental and new business revenue by producing sales through individual efforts and internal partnerships in order to meet/ exceed revenue goals.
- Submit weekly pipeline and activity reports to Manager.
- Establish and aggressively work a targeted list to close business in a timely manner.
- Provide efficient and professional service to meet and exceed client expectations.
- To network in the community and develop contacts with professional trade organizations, clubs and networks to promote Orlando Sentinel’s Digital Solutions to achieve revenue goals as outlined.
- Research and monitor the Online/Digital/Mobile field and target businesses placing schedules with our competition in order to improve Orlando Sentinel Digital’s market share.
- To resolve customer complaints/questions promptly if nature of complaint/question is in the Sales rep’s area of responsibility and authority.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in the digital/sales medium.
- Strong organizational and people skills with particular emphasis on communication, analytical and sales skills.
- Working knowledge of advertising strategy and tactics with specific emphasis on digital advertising.
- Able to travel on company business, attend client entertainment functions and represent the company in community activities.
- At least 2 – 3 years sales experience.
