Title of Position:        Project Manager, Health Strategies

Reports to:                 Executive Director

Overview

We are focused on improving the lives of all in Central Florida; by providing access to healthy eating options, and lifestyle management through our Y health and prevention programs.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail focused, self-motivated, action oriented performer as the Project Manager for our Health Strategies initiatives. The incumbent will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term (3 year) project which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables related to a grant funded program. Sustainability of this position is related to successful management of this project demonstrating outcomes that will allow management to seek continued funding opportunities to roll under this position. S/he will be required to define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management and create a detailed plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and determine the resources (time, money, equipment etc.) required to complete the project. S/he will develop and maintain key relationships and effective partnerships with participating healthcare participants to ensure program success, and expand program participation. S/he will be required to prepare project reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements, and ensure all financial reports for the project are kept current and accurate. This individual will monitor the implementation of the program and success metrics of participants as well as key indicators related to physician collaboration.   The incumbent must be able to provide overall leadership through their past professional project management experiences, establish performance goals, and standards, and give regular assessment of project staff performance, including annual performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in health sciences, hospital administration, case management, business administration or related field of study required.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional planning or project management experience required; in a hospital, or health and wellness industry strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, primary care physicians, board of directors, staff, and volunteers.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required; including a high level of skill in excel. Oracle experience a plus.
