American Cruise Lines is seeking experienced Hotel Managers to live and work onboard our luxury cruise ships. Hotel Managers are senior level shipboard officers who supervise the Food Service Department; Kitchen and Galley Department; Housekeeping Department; Shore Excursion and Entertainment Department (Cruise Director); Sales and Re-bookings; and Hotel Business Office. Hotel Manager candidates will have three to five years of management experience.

Hotel Managers are responsible for the overall guest satisfaction onboard and are directly responsible for the Hotel Department’s performance. Hotel Managers will ensure a memorable experience for our guests and must be able to manage and solve problems. This is a great opportunity to travel and work in the Cruise and Hospitality Industry. Hotel Managers are responsible for the supervision, training and coaching of all hotel, restaurant and kitchen employees. The Hotel Manager is responsible for ensuring that all members of the crew follow company standards and policies.

The Hotel Managers manage the shipboard business office, process financial transactions and shipboard accounting. The Manager is responsible for inventory management and meeting the food and alcohol budget. The Manager will ensure budgets. The Hotel Manager is also responsible for onboard sales and shipboard re-bookings of guests on future cruises.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Hotel & Restaurant Management
  • Minimum 3 years management experience at a full service hotel, resort or cruise ship
  • Pre-employment drug test
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication skills (English)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel
