The Multi-Media Account Executive will work consultatively and collaboratively with clients to cultivate and grow their brand identity and support their future success through developing, selling, and monitoring customized multi-media marketing and advertising campaigns and event sponsorships for the publication’s market.  This individual will primarily focus on strategically developing new business through new client acquisition and expanding services provided to existing clients.  A successful Multi-Media Account Executive will possess an outgoing, entrepreneurial, and assertive disposition.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role entails the following expectations, but is not limited to:

Essential

  • Meeting and exceeding set revenue goals for defined area
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Communicate the benefits of our audience based marketing solutions as they relate to each need and selling an appropriate campaign
  • Ability to manage the sales cycle while advancing opportunities through the cycle to close
  • Assist in the marketing plan of each client
  • Assist clients with their ad campaign and involved in the production process
  • Informing clients about and assisting with any promotional opportunities
  • Leveraging existing marketing campaigns and providing high degree of detailed follow-up to open client engagements. 
  • Document activity and account management
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with other team members across departments.
  • Professionally represents Euclid Media Group’s and publication’s brand and philosophy at all times

Planning Activities:

  • Organizing schedule to accommodate times for visiting clients, calling clients, and cold-calling
  • Working with supervisor to set challenging, yet attainable revenue goals and objectives

Problem-Solving Activities:

  • Developing action plan to meet/exceed set revenue goals and objectives
  • Develop strategies/solutions to overcome client objections

Job Complexity:

  • Ability to market and sell advertising campaigns involving print, digital, and event sponsorship platforms
  • Ability to research and identify trends and develop marketing and advertising campaigns to address accordingly
  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions.
  • Ability to understand and interpret marketing data to effectively overcome client objections
  • Ability to adapt objectives, sales approaches and behaviors in response to rapidly changing situations and to manage business in a deadline driven environment
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Understanding of digital products as it relates to clients, prospects, and key trends
  • Willing to embrace new technology and social media
  • Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Must be able to travel 50%+

  • Familiar with the publication, its website and culture
  • Strong understanding of how consumers use print and online media

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred

  • Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP)
  • IAB Digital Media Sales Certified

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • 2+ years outside sales experience
  • Must have strong understanding of services sales cycles and dealing with top decision makers.
  • Recent documented success exceeding revenue goals

Preferred

  • Previous B2B media sales experience
  • Previous advertising sales experience
  • Previous experience in a sales and service industry
  • Possess existing relationship and strong ties with local business owners, events, and organizations
