International Student Housing Coordinator

The International Student Housing Coordinator is a full-time staff member responsible for providing student and housing support to Full Sail International Students. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Determine student needs pre and post-enrollment and provide housing information via phone, email, Skype, social media and office visits
· Build and maintain relationships with local Apartment Complexes to ensure that international students are accommodated
· Serve as a liaison between international-friendly housing complexes and students/parents/sponsors for all housing-related needs 
· Serve as a housing representative at welcome fairs and student orientation
· Track student progress and provide updates to international liaisons and management weekly
· Work in conjunction with the student coordinator to plan student events
· Provide student placement data and incident reports
· Schedule airport pickups at serve as main point of contact for student/runner to confirm student arrival
· Provide students and parents with information on living expenses, budgeting, leasing applications/contracts, utilities, furniture, etc. to prepare life in the U.S.

Other Responsibilities:
· Maintain awareness of campus and community resources
· Respond to student incidents and crisis situations
· Help resolve conflicts with roommate and/or other residents
· Communicate with Security and Winter Park Police to help address student concerns, provide incident updates, and coordinate safety education programs
· Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred

Computer/Equipment Skills:
· Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds
