Maintenance Mechanic

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
To include but not limited to:

• Perform all Class C Level functions with demonstrated proficiency.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting by using the required tools, identifying problem conveyor system issues, maintaining and repairing conveyor systems, identifying problem issues, maintaining, repairing or replacing common types of bearings, shafts, sprockets and chains, identifying problem issues, maintaining, repairing or replacing air cylinders, lines and pneumatic valves;
• Match lubrication methods and materials to their proper application, i.e., understand and perform Preventative Maintenance Procedures and complete the required paperwork; and
• Perform rudimentary electrical tasks, i.e., de-energize and verify circuit; identify and reset a tripped circuit breaker.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

• All other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent or more, preferred. 
• Requires at least one (1) year experience in an industrial environment. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Environment varies from indoors to outdoors, impacted by weather, temperature ranges from hot to cold, humidity varies, required to work at heights if needed, noise levels vary from soft to loud, possibly very loud.  Works around moving equipment and may use dangerous tools to perform the work.  Exposure to caustics or other chemicals and electrical impulses or shock possible.  May have to walk or stand for long periods of time.
